Hignett, Frederick Henry. Lived at 4 Edward Street, Oswestry. Worked as a clerk at Martin’s Coal Merchants, Oswestry, before starting his own coal merchant business. Bad debts in the 1930s depression caused the business to fail. During the war he was active in the Red Cross and Toc H – abbreviation for Talbot House, a soldier’s club for rest and recreation at Poperinghe, now a museum Link to Talbot House.
