Lance Corporal 14521 Bernard S Easthope, 7 Bn King’s Shropshire Light Infantry. Born Burton-on-Trent and his family moved to Belper. Enlisted at Oswestry but no known address in the town.
Berriew Mill Private 203047 John Griffiths, 4 Bn Royal Welsh Fusiliers. Born in Pontesbury. The family moved to Berriew then to Maesbury. His father was a corn miller/merchant had a business in Oswestry at 28 Oswald Road. 17 Gate Street re father’s bankruptcy in 1923.
34 Rock Terrace Private 19732 Richard L Roberts, 6 Bn King’s Shropshire Light Infantry. Ritchie’s birthplace was Llanellechid a parish of Bethseda district, Caernarvonshire. He also lived Birmingham and Edward Street, Oswestry while training as a bank clerk.
