- Nothing found on military records.
Charles Henry Loose does not appear on St Oswald’s War memorial but his brother Private 6154 Albert E Loose, 2 Bn King’s Shropshire Light Infantry. KIA 26 April 1915, Menin Gate, Ypres (unknown) does – why should one brother be omitted? Conclude that ‘Thomas H Loose’ is an error in transcription, supported by his absence in records, and should read Charles H Loose.
