PARK AVENUE built between 1876 and 1882. Number 2 is near the junction with Mount Road and Willow Street. These properties were built for the more prosperous managers, supervisors and clerks rather than manual workers.

PARK HALL Park Hall was an impressive Tudor building a mile east of the town. It was used as a training camp and military hospital by the Army during World War I. On 26 December 1918 it burnt to the ground following an electrical fault.
