BAILEY STREET Eastern side of Bailey Street Osborne Hotel no 30; Osborne House nos 28-26 in 1845 the North and South Wales Bank was housed here. At its junction with Cross Street is Llwyd Mansion built in 1604. One of the main streets of the town.

BEATRICE STREET Beatrice Gate stood at what is now the junction with King Street, a stream once ran from Castle fields past Beatrice Gate (demolished 1782) and the town walls it joined, at Coney Green, another brook running from Cae Glas along English Walls and past Black Gate (demolished 1771).

42 Private 355357 John A Richards, 25 Bn Royal Welsh Fusiliers Born in Llansilin after his marriage resided at 42 Beatrice Street, a tobbaconist shop. Also at Gobowen Road/Ceiriog Villas.
52 Private 11487 George Douglas, 5 Bn King’s Shropshire Light Infantry. Also lived at 18 Orchard Street.
81 Private 44255 John Thomas, 2 Bn South Wales Borderers. Also Beatrice Streeet and Heath, Staffordshire.
